“More than any other city, Tokyo demonstrates that ‘city’ is a verb and not a noun.” – Toshiko Mori.
Ohayo, Konnichiwa, and Konbanwa!
There’s one place I have always wanted to visit, Japan. A place where they have a love for anime manga comics and cats. Home to delicious foods and snacks. There are vending machines for most things, including cake in a can, ice cream, macarons, and many other foods and non food items. Tokyo would be my pick. I’d like to see the neon lit Akihabara, the Asakusa district for more shopping, and the famous Shinjuku Gyoen for a walk under its cherry blossom trees. I would like to visit the Studio Ghibli mueseum in Mitaka to see items that are only available in the mueseum. This includes a special short film of the famous Studio Ghibli Catbus or ネコバス in Japanese.
Shopping in a 7- Eleven, simply because of the convenience of it, as well as the variety and different food and items you can buy, would be a to-do list must. I feel like it would just feel different compared to shopping over here. Mainly because there’s a lot of stuff you can buy in these shops that are open 247 that aren’t available here. Finally, I think a stop at Aoshima Island would be in order to see all the cats before I return.
I think my main concern with visiting Tokyo is how busy it is. As someone who doesn’t like large crowds, it might be an issue. It is something I’d be willing to work with to see a city like Tokyo. Hopefully, in the future, I can write a blog post about a trip to Japan.
